Mountain Equipment has been creating the finest mountain clothing and equipment in the world since 1961. 

 

A rare and exciting opportunity has now arisen for a Brand Marketing Manager to join the team. We are seeking a talented, experienced and highly organised individual who shares our passion for the outdoors.

 

Working within the marketing team at our Head Office in Hyde, Greater Manchester and reporting to the Director of Product & Marketing the successful candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation and execution of integrated brand marketing campaigns to drive brand and product awareness.

 

The ideal candidate needs to have an active and demonstrable interest in a variety of outdoor sports such as climbing, mountaineering or hill-walking and experience in helping to create and execute marketing campaigns across multiple channels. 

 

The Role

 

- Help develop marketing strategies in line with brand and product objectives

- Identify key product stories and seasonal product marketing objectives 

- Create, execute and implement integrated marketing content / assets and communication tools across all channels

- Assist in writing engaging multi-platform copy ensuring consistency of message and tone across international markets.

- Manage all retail and trade support from sell-in to sell-out including the creation and implementation of POS and in-store merchandising

- Manage the production and delivery of all print media including the production of workbooks, product guides and consumer material

- Take a lead role in organising seasonal sales meetings as well as regional and international trade-shows

- Take a lead role in organising and attending consumer-facing promotional events

- Manage the PR activities of the brand including the creation and distribution of press releases / media communications and assist in developing and maintaining relationships with trade and corporate partners.

 

The Candidate

 

- You should be educated to degree level, preferably with a marketing related qualification and have at least 2-3 years commercial experience in a marketing or marketing related role. 

- Be energetic, self-motivated and highly organised

- Have excellent communication skills

- A proven ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines / critical paths 

- An understanding and affinity to the Mountain Equipment brand 

- Knowledge of the outdoor industry, competitor brands and the retail sector is advantageous

 

Location

 

This is a full-time position based at our head-office in Hyde, Greater Manchester. Some travel both within the UK and overseas should be expected.
