I am looking to do TMB with kids this summer and wondered if anyone had done this. Did you do the whole trek or split it in half at Courmayer? Where the hits expensive?

I have seen loads of families doing TMB with children even some quite young, the refugee are good value with the valley ones seem to be cheeper than the mountain top ones.

We went: Trient- Trelechamp-les Houches-les Contamines-Col de la Croix du Bonhomme-Rif Elizabetha-Courmayeur.

Stayed in Gites and huts and a B&B.

About €40pppn with adjustments re kids ages.  i.e younger kids much cheaper.

Our kids were 15, 13, 8. They had a great time based on their behaviour, number of photos, general skipping. They said however that it was torture.

Went quite light weight- two 32L rucksacks, one 10L ruck sack, ultravest and a kids sack.

Watching this post with interest, mine are  8,12 and 13 and I would love to do some or all of it with them.
