Anyone been around the brecon beacons today, any chance of anything higher up being skiiable?

Thanks

There was a couple of centimetres on Torpantau yesterday and I should imagine there's been a good bit more today.  I expect all the windward slopes will have been scoured clean by the wind.  If you ski the lee slopes, you could have a cracking time.

Yea it looks like there  has been a fair bit over night, I might drive to Waun Rydd and check it out later ! Fingers crossed for snow

Might be worth checking road conditions first. As of a few hours ago, all trunk roads in and out of Brecon closed due to snow.

A470 South (towards Merthyr)

A470 North (towards Builth)

A40 East (towards Crickhowell)

A40 West (towards Sennybridge)

Wonder if there'll be any bread in the morning...

I live on the eastern end of the National Park on the edge of the Black Mountains and was out skiing in 30cm of powder on the hills above my house this afternoon. I managed 160m of vertical on a run of over 800m. I will go hunting tomorrow for more! Have just put a photo in my gallery.
