I am going to Kuhtai for a few days ski touring.  Can anyone recommend a good shop to rent touring skis and boots?

No idea- but since it is one of the homes of Austrain ski touring- I'd guess there will be loads.  Don't worry- have a great time.

I've only skied there for one day and didn't look around the town that much so can't say for sure, but you'd have quite a few options on your way there if you didn't want to risk it..

Depending on which way you're getting there, there's a few shops down in Oetz, or if you're coming from the Innsbruck end, there's loads of options there?

Thanks for the replies.  We went for a long weekend 2 weeks ago and it was no problem getting the gear.  As you say, lots of ski touring around.  Rather too much snow when we were there, high avalanche risk so we stuck close to the resort ( and got snowed in for an extra day).  Should be really good foundation for rest of season though. 

I haven't done a lot of touring but am more familiar with French resorts where getting skis with pin bindings can be more difficult and you have to find specialist shops.
