Hi, I'm looking for a guidebook for winter climbs in the Lake District as a Christmas gift and there seem to be around a dozen different ones. Which one is the best? I'm looking for something similar to the Welsh Winter Climbs book by Newton and Campbell i.e. with approach notes, conditions, topos etc. looking to spend around £10-15
Thanks in advance

This one is pretty good. Excellent coverage and with all the useful info. (only found one very minor mistake so far!)

Dozens?! Isn't there just one, but older editions are still available? Get the newest one!

THe Lake District world guide as mentioned is excellent. Decent topology and route descriptions.
Plenty of variety too.
