Got home late on Thursday having completed it.
The Cotswolds are beautiful and the hills seemed steeper and bigger than on the South Downs Way. I'd definitely say that the northern half is a lot more interesting and the villages a lot prettier. Bath at the end is lovely, but heaving with tourists.
The biggest downside is the number of busy roads you have to cross. Worst of all the Air Balloon roundabout above Cheltenham, which is lethal, followed closely by the A46 after Cold Ashton. The traffic is continuous in both directions with few gaps, and even fewer drivers willing to slow down to give you a chance to cross. Also a surprising amount of traffic on many "minor" roads.
Weather was mixed, with a lot of heavy showers earlier this week.
Sign posting is superb, and you rarely need a map. Ideal for the lazy walker!
Locals were all generally very friendly and there were some nice pubs.
