I enjoyed that too, thanks.
Brings back memories of my Ilizarov experience after a fall on Lochnagar, 16 long years ago. You don't dwell on your recovery from the fracture but that's my take-away experience and what in many ways was the life changing part. Not the drama of the day but the long grind back over 2 years. The year of the frame on my lower leg that it took to get me back to walking and eventually back into the hills years later. In the end, the whole experience was a good deal less life changing than it appeared for a while and despite various frightening initial discussions with the surgeon about the future, I am finishing off my second Munro round, started after the accident. I was very lucky indeed.
Best wishes for your recovery.
