Mechanical Maintenance Engineer/Fitter

The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified and time served Mechanical Maintenance Engineer/Fitter.

Reporting to the Technical Director, the successful candidate will play a key role in the mechanical maintenance to all onsite manufacturing/production machinery, trial machinery, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps and bearings which will be carried in a professional and proactive manner, ensuring Health & Safety is at the forefront of all activities.

You will need to be a team player within a small and friendly but busy department. Fundamental requirements for this role are: hands on, self-motivated, a positive and proactive approach and excellent problem-solving skills. It is essential that you are self-motivated.

Key Tasks
  • Mechanical maintenance
  • Machine fitting, refurbishment, servicing, breakdowns, fault finding and maintenance
  • Hydraulic & pneumatic maintenance/repair
  • Planned, reactive & preventative maintenance (PPM)
Essential Requirements
  • Professional and proven track record of 5 years' experience in Mechanical Maintenance Engineer/Fitter shop environment
  • Fault finding skills, with the ability to deal with challenges/problems and new products on a regular basis
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team player
  • Full understanding of safe working practices and relevant legislation where applicable
Desirable
  • Electrical knowledge or qualification will be highly advantageous
Hours
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
