A week in Cham: Storms, Slabs, Digital Crack + an epic descent

The week in Chamonix began by getting caught in a storm, and ended the same way. The first one expected, the second one less so, but sandwiched in the middle was a couple of peaks that will make the week a memorable one.

Some obscure routes and some classics: El Niño, Madame Rêve, Digital Crack and République Bananière

Great stuff but can't quite decide what's more impressive, getting off the Republique in a storm or taking a fingerboard up the Midi.

Haha! The fingerboard was nothing to do with me! Bruce is the master of bringing random items to the crag. Last year I had to lower him down the slope toward the col du midi (in his rock shoes) after one of those rubber five finger warm up things flew off his fingers and disappeared down the snow...
