What did folks think of it?

I thought having a stage in the mountains was great but the format today was a bit gimmicky IMO.

AvV was just brilliant - she's well up the men's Strava leaderboard for the upper stages of the Izoard.

Very surprised Lizzie Deignan hadn't recced the stage.

It seemed like it might be an interesting idea, but having them all split by the previous times meant too big a gap for effective chasing. Maybe if the benchmark times weren't based on a mountain stage, or if everyone else set off en masse at the same time?

Didn't see much of today so didn't really get the format, but I loved seeing them race in the mountains yesterday. LD spent too long looking after her team mate though

I don't think anyone knew how different riders would go there Looks like BD backed the wrong one on the day.
