Hi
I'm about to buy a single rope for rock climbing (both granite and limestone rock).
I'm thinking about The Beal Booster III DRY and the Mammut Eternity 9,8mm DRY.
Both have similar price and dry coating.
Which one would You choose?

In reply to mike.gore:

The Beal has a higher sheath percentage, and gives a slightly softer catch according to the stats. Also has unicore if that matters to you, their video about it is quite convincing.

The Mammut is slightly lighter, and I've found Mammut ropes to feel quite supple in use.

Choose whichever you prefer the colour of?

I've used the Booster III before but not the Mammut. Predictably, the Beal handles very nicely. Probably not much help, sorry!

I use the beal. Great to handle, good wear, and no sheath slip. Great for soft catches. Also climbed on the mammut, which is a little rougher feeling, obviously has similar catch characteristics to Beal, but does suffer from sheath slip. (Friend has cut off empty sheath, and has been told that it is 'normal wear and tear'.
