Afternoon all,
I looked a couple of years back a couldn't find much, just wondering if anyone knows of any 1:25/40/50 Digital IGN or OS maps for Mont Blanc area?
Looking to load it into Memory Maps and so be able to use it on my phone. So I would guess .qct files?
Thanks for any help.
Got a lamitaed copy of the Cham area, just wouldn't mind cheating.

Not sure why you couldn't find anything. Memory map do IGN 1:25,000 for the Alps. They have done these maps for many years. Just go visit their website.

Huh thanks for that, very weird email from MM two years back then

Yeah I think with Memory Map you need to buy all of France at 1:25 to get the French side of the alps... then the same again for Italy for the Italian side. At £200 for the French side alone that's quite steep.
Just wondering if there is anywhere to get a digital copy of the Chamonix area only?

I've got the whole area, except for a bit of Italy, on ViewRanger. Worth checking out. If you need any info please let me know.
You sign up with them and buy "tiles" to cover whichever area you want.

Thank for the head up on ViewRanger, the whole area is available for individual tile down load at 1:25 and a great price!

Glad to be of help. In many ways I find VR better than Memory Map although there are swings and roundabouts. Around the Courmayeur area this seems to be a bit more coverage with VR than with MM
In reply to mypyrex:

That's great info. Thanks again! The last few months I've grown unhappy with MM with frequent crashes and many updates. Perfect though for being able to load old maps into.

Arrive on Friday so will be good to see VR in action

Let me know how VR performs as I'm planning to use it.
