I am a gift retailer and have noticed in the last twenty years that Brits ( In general ) do not want to pay the the price of their own labour.
Whether this is true of the mountain clothing and equipment trade who knows.
The point being ( with a few exceptions ) we are happy to buy from anywhere as long as the price is right.
