Yesterday I was abseiling off yogi at tremadog and was stung by around 10 wasps. Not sure if I or my rope disturbed a nest or I was just a in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I have abseiled down this line as recently as couple of weeks ago and there was no issue. So hoping is was just unlucky. I did get so many stings I ended up with an allergic reaction.

There is a bees nest in the tree by firsts pitches of one step in the clouds and hail Bebe. Be careful out there.

There's a pretty voracious army of horse flies there as well - got bitten to death there last week.

Yep halfway down (by the cut hawthorn) is a wasps nest! It's near the belay but you won't disturb it climbing. The person I was climbing with got stung 6 times!

A friend said he looked down it the other day and saw a load of wasps. Not much fun getting stung by them.

It was Yogi (VS 4b) if people want a link to the route.

I was there last Sunday and the guy abseiling out was stung, but someone we managed to avoid it (perhaps took a different line down)
