2 places booked and 2 places remaining to join me for a week of sailing to the cliffs around Stavanger on 40ft yacht as a travelling base camp from 5-11 Aug. Have a lot more info and outline itineary below. Pretty full on week with added spice of a sailing adventure ! (Just finished a similar week in Bohuslan Sweden - with pic attached of the yacht and crag 2 days ago! ).

Mainly granite sports climbing cliffs but also opportunity for multi pitch sport and trade routes. No prior sailing experience needed as you can learn on route but climbing experience needed.

I've hammered out an exciting outline itinerary ( below ) with help from local Stavanger climbers with flexibility to change depending on wishes of all on board. Happy to have a chat just call or text me on +44(0) 7775 995161. Or check out the Rogaland climbing guide.

Outline itinerary.......
Sat 5th Aug. Stavanger. Join yacht Mahi ideally by 1pm so we can set sail and shake down climb in the afternoon . Short sail across fjord to Dalsvagen bay to climb at Dale. Over 130 sports routes of up to 60 meters height from grade 5-7. Or opt for easy trad 40m 4+ warm up at Himlingen cliff close bye .

Sun 6th Aug. Climb at Dale then late afternoon 3 hour sail to Hogsfjorden to anchor in bay off Adnoy island providing access to 4 sports cliffs close to the sea.

Mon 7th Aug. From anchorage select a cliff! Snoveggen , Hole, Bersagel and Dansenall offer single pitch sports routes between grades 5-8 .so plenty for everyone! Sail on late afternoon into spectacular Lysefjord to anchor close to famous pulpit rock ( Preikestolen) .

Tue 8th Aug. A big day ! Ideally Climb a 5 pitch sports climb on Snareberget, perhaps the '500 days of summer' or we can opt for a big trad day at Dirdalsveggen offering 200m multi pitch routes which locals refer to as the 'Little Big Wall' ! Or rest the arms and hike to the top of Pulpit rock and watch the base jumpers !

Wed 9th Aug. A short sail to hopefully anchor below the sea cliffs of Trellskar , single pitch sports climbing directly above the sea with our yacht Mahi close by. Then back on board for a long sail through the fjords and islands to the bay of Karsto .

Thur 10th Aug . Sports climbing on Karsto cliffs. Offering 70 single pitch sports routes from grades 4-8 . Back to the yacht to celebrate the week.

Fri 11th Aug . Set sail early from Karsto for a 4 hour sail navigating through tight passages and islands and finally up the narrow Karmsundet fjord to Haugesund by 12 noon! Hopefully a holiday of a lifetime ! Pretty full on week but options for chilling out too.
Cheers.

Hey Andy,

Looks like an incredible trip! Can't call or text as in work with no mobile, but what are the expected costs of the trip (excluding flights to/from the area)?

Cheers
Tom
