Not bought a new bag for years, and generally use down, but wondering if synthetic fill bags have come on lots in terms of weight and pack size in the last years? Bit sick of damp down etc. etc..

Looking at something that's less than 800g or so for a temp rating of around 0 degrees or just below. Use is for general bivi in the UK or summer alpine.

Suggestions?

I recently also bought a new synthetic bag, and the one that seemed to top the list was this one: http://www.mountainhardwear.com/hyperlamina-spark-35f-1c-regular-1568251.ht...
737g, 1 degree temp. My partner bought one, and it's really quite good (I haven't slept in it thought - not allowed to!).
In terms of pack size, it packs down similar to about watermelon size thereabouts (rather than bucket sized).

Do you mean 0C as limit or comfort temperature?
MIght be difficult to get that as comfort temperature for less than 800g without going to down bags.

Mountain Hardwear Hyperlamina are well specced although the short central zip is not to everyone's taste.

Cheaper but heavier

Good luck

Heavier than you are looking for but could be a bargain if it suits the bill.

Thanks, yeah that MHW one looks the best of all the ones I've seen so far. I like the central zip as well.
