Telesales Representative/Administrator

We are looking for an enthusiastic Telesales Representative to contribute in generating sales for DMM. The successful candidate will be making a mixture of cold and warm calls to new business and existing clients to sell our products.

You will be responsible for closing sales deals over the phone and maintaining good customer relationships. The successful candidate must be an excellent communicator, be comfortable presenting products over the phone as well as fielding a variety of queries. You need to be computer literate and confident using Word and Excel. More important is a good work ethic and the ability to get on the phone and make calls.

This role is also a sales support function which sits within a team of sales administrators, sharing the workload of administrative sales tasks. Their mission is to ensure a timely turnaround of support tasks including, order processing and liaising with customers ensuring first class customer service is delivered at all times.

Key Tasks
  • Contact potential or existing customers to inform them about a product
  • Answer questions about products
  • Ask questions to understand customer requirements and close sales
  • Take and process orders in an accurate manner
  • Assist the sales team
  • Analyse data
  • Implement and maintain the CRM system
  • Work with the purchasing department and production team to assist with ordering/production priorities of products
  • Review and process all back orders for UK and overseas climbing customers
  • Prioritising of orders
  • Handle general customer and suppliers queries
  • Work in conjunction with the warehouse to ensure orders are dispatched
  • Receive payments for orders via paying machine
  • May be required to perform basic clerical duties, such as faxing office notes and photocopying
  • Assist with admin tasks as needed

Essential Skills
  • Proven experience as a telesales representative or other sales/customer service role
  • Proven track record of successfully meeting sales quota preferably over the phone
  • Computer literate and good knowledge of relevant computer program (CRM software)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with high level of interpersonal skills
  • Excellent talent to interact with people in a positive and courteous manner
  • Computer literate and numerical skills
  • The ability to prioritise and meet customer deadlines
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work quickly, maintaining a high degree of accuracy at all times
  • Self-motivated, initiative and high level of energy

Desirable
  • Experience administration duties
  • Knowledge of DMM’s products and services
  • An active interest in climbing/mountaineering

Hours
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
