REC First Aid Course - Where?

Whatever everyone's opinions on the organisation, I run a Scout Troop in Chester, and I'm taking them up Moel Famau, Mountain Biking in Llandegla Forest and Indoor Climbing, this term.

I only NEED a standard First Aid certificate (for Moel Famau & Llandega), to take a group of 25 young people.
However, being the responsible person for a lot of parents little darlings, I want to be fully prepared.

I'm fully confident in my own First Aid abilities, or I wouldn't be taking them. But it's always good to get abit of specialist training, and hopefully learn something new.

Has anyone done an REC First Aid Course in the North West or North Wales?
If so, any companies you can recommend or have heard good things about?
Also an idea on pricing would be good... not necessarily the cheapest, but maybe one that is a better course for the money?

Thanks in advance!

I'd highly recommend Snowdonia First Aid

Play Y Brenin do several first aid courses. We did the REC Emergency First Aid course which was very useful for our
climbing and walking. The optional accommodation was excellent too. Not the cheapest, but it certainly covered a lot of subjects practically, and in the rain too!

Have a look at ITC providers, excellent high quality Outdoor First Aid and other options. Website for the Awarding Body is:

http://www.itcfirst.org.uk

Which allows you to search for a provider in your area.
