I'm after some wireless headphones for my other half for her birthday that she can take out running. Does anyone have any recommendations? If they could be compatible with an Ipad (with audio jack) that would be even better.

I bought my partner a pair of these:

and she likes them for running and gym work.

No audio jack connection unfortunately, but the battery life seems good enough.

Cheers. No problem those don't have an audio jack as they can bluetooth for an ipad.

I have a pair of the Plantronics as well and they are great.
They are not ear buds so do not go into your canal. This means you are not totally isolated from the environment so you can still hear cars etc.

They are extremely flexible and light and appear bombproof.

If you have a very healthy budget ... http://www.jaybirdsport.com/freedom-bluetooth-headphones/ are impressive (once you have overcome the quite fiddly setup of deciding the various combinations of ear tips and ear fins, and setting up the EQ via their app to your taste).

I rather reluctantly bought these after having many sets failing very basic expectations like fitting well, consistent Bluetooth connnection, reasonable sound reproduction, ease of use, etc. No regrets so far. These far exceed my expectations and have some added pluses over others.
