I'm just wondering whether any of the manufacturers make a 1 man geodesic dome tent? I enjoy heading out into mountainous wilderness areas in winter conditions, and could do with a bombproof tent which is capable of free standing (eg if snow is too soft/deep for pegs), but is as lightweight as possible. I have backpacked a number of times with my Quasar, but it is too heavy for the job really. I know there are a few other 2 man tents around which are lighter in weight than the Quasar (eg Quasar Ultra, Trisar, F10 MTN 2, etc), but can't seem to find any 1 man geodesic domes. Anyone know of one that fits the bill?

Thanks for any info.

Hilleberg's Soulo is good - I know a few friends who have them. Just over 2kg realistically. Ain't a cheap option though!

Yep, they make a couple of different models that might fit this requirement. Baltic paddlers nead self supporting domes for use on granite slab skerries, hence Hilleberg doing them.
