Merry Christmas to all.

I'm on my own too. First time actually at home, and first time I've cooked a Christmas lunch.

Here is my schedule

11.15 Opened a bottle of Claret

11.30 Turkey crown went into oven

12.30 Take frozen roast potatoes out of freezer

12.50 Potatoes into oven

12.51 Take pigs in blankets out of freezer

13.00 Pigs in blankets into oven

13.01 Mix Paxo sage and onion with boiling water

13.05 Put stuffing mix in oven

13.15 Remove tin foil from over turkey crown

13.20 Take sprouts out of freezer

13.25 start boiling sprouts

13.26 Boil water and mix in gravy granules

13.30 All ready?

Serve

Later Microwave Christmas puddings and serve with brandy butter

Have I forgotten anything?

Fresh food?

In reply to Gone for good:

Frozen is as good as fresh, because it's frozen within a very short time of picking. Also less waste as you can keep the excess in the freezer.

Merry Christmas from the shelter of a bit of gabbro on the point of Corrachadh Mòr; there are huge waves crashing all around.

I am confident that this will be the most Westerly internet post on the Island of Great Britain, today.

10.00 Lame attempt at UKC Xmas quiz (still ongoing)

10.30 Made flapjacks

11.45. Made pancakes for breakfast.

13.00 Went back to bed.

14.30 Got up and had a chocolate protein bar.

15.00 Tidied up.

19.00 Roast parsnips and carrots and peas

19.45 Chocolate liqueur

Next I might watch a film. Not sure what. Maybe the Accountant ... dunno

Happy Xmas/Winterval/Solstice/whatever
