I've done too much Jöttnar in the past so Dan has swiped their review samples this winter it seems.
But I did review the first generation Alfar a couple of years back

I haven't worn it much recently particularly because I'm reviewing the Alpkit Heiko which I'm growing rather fond of and interesting 'active insulation' jacket from Marmot (Astron IIRC) for a UKC review later this winter, but Alfar is a good 'un, if rather warm.
The Extrem 8000 Pro is Berghaus' top-end mountain shell, and includes a number of funky design features. Its price tag is top-end too; so do the benefits justify the cost?
