A friend's photo from his recent flight back from Italy took him close to the interesting area in the photo I have placed in My Photos having passed just W of Arco on the N. end of Lake Garda? This is not a competition; just a fascination for the obvious ridge in the middle distance.

Send it to me and I'll have a stab at locating it. It sounds like it could be the Brenta Dolomites or the Adamello from your description - which window was it taken from - east or west?

Looks like the Brenta, with the ski area of Madonna in the foreground. Bit hard to see but looks like those slopes.

Looks like the Churfirsten in Switzerland to me.

There are some good rock routes on the South Face of the Zustoll.
