So the mercury is dropping, what's you favourite winter warmer to bite into while at the crag? I could do with some I inspiration (tiring of bread dipped in hummus and sausage rolls)

7 Freddos and a can of coke.

7 Freddos? You must be a millionaire.

Personally, fruit cake with marzipan and icing et al, or beef jerky. Or a banana. Or some chocolate. Or a nice sandwich, something like pate and raw onion if I'm with friends or hummus if I'm with the missus.

Hot cross buns. The ones made by Sparks and Mencers seem to me to be the squidgiest.

Tried wraps this weekend with a refried bean, coriander, salad and avocado filling. Spot on! Very filling... also a massive sausage bacon and egg bun from outside.

soreen winter spice loaf is ace (Christmas cake flavored soreen).

slightly off the wall idea (originally from a dutch workmate): hot-cross-bun with mature cheddar................... surprisingly tasty.
