The Search for Freedom is a documentary that came out last year. I thought it was a really interesting. The subject matter is extreme or action sports, or more specifically the people that take part in them: what they do, why they take the risks they do, what drives them, alternative lifestyles etc.
Climbing is included with interviews with Ron Kauk and Yvon Chouninard. What made the film especially interesting is seeing how climbing fits in with these other kindred activities: surfing, wingsuit flying, skiing, snowboarding etc.. In fact 'kindred' might be just the word as it seems there is a genetic predisposition shared by people who like thrill seeking activities.
