Looking to build some winter experience up with a two week trip in february to Ogwen/Llanberis, any simple routes to start plodding through?

Or would I be better off getting up to fort william?

In reply to zimpara:
Go to Scotland, conditions are far more reliable. You're unlikley to get winter climbing in Wales unless you are able to come up at the drop of a hat.

As for Grade Is if winter does happen:
Parsley Fern Gully (I)
Crib Goch - Crib Y Ddysgl Traverse (Winter) (I)
Tower Gully (I/II)

are incredibly popular.

can you be flexible on timings and location?

N Wales is notoriously unreliable, the lakes is better but still doesn't really come in every year. Your best bet for gullies would be early march in Scotland. Its still best to stay flexible if you can but if not bet on the Ben.

Yeah N Wales in good weather and conditions is a 24 hour notice thing normally and doesn't often last long. That said the odd season is good.
