Best maps to use in Switzerland.
Suggestions of best places to get them as well?

Many Thanks,
Ben

I just picked mine up in the tourist office in Lauterbrunnen where you can book guides etc.

Alternatively, Stanfords in the UK will have Swiss OS maps aplenty

There are 1:25000 and 1:50000 maps of this region. Stanfords in London is reliable
e.g. http://www.stanfords.co.uk/Zermatt_9783302013480

Also some Cotswolds outdoors. HTH Steve

In reply to Ben_Climber:

you can get them all online for free somewhere (official source, not pirate), to print and make your own or use on a smartphone. I cant remember the site but will post the link later if I find it.

Guess you are thinking of swisstopo? I think the app may be subscription only.
However another app that is free is gps-tracks on iOS which somehow claims to be legit although I can't see how.

In reply to Ben_Climber: You can zoom in and print maps off from this site:

https://map.schweizmobil.ch/?lang=en&bgLayer=pk&resolution=20&X...

Otherwise, as others say, you'll have no problems buying maps over there, 1:25,000 or 1:50,000.

The 'Landeskarte der Schweiz' 1:50,000 for the Eiger region is number 5004: "Berner Oberland", this has Interlaken at top centre, Eiger, Monch, Jungfrau in the mid centre, so it covers a large and very interesting area.

Swiss Topo. Spend 5 mins wandering around any touristy mountain town (Grindelwald) and you'll find them for sale
