Sierra Nevada: On the way up to the Poqueira Refuge below Mulhacen, 2 kbAt 3482m Mulhacen is the highest mountain in mainland Spain, and known for being very cold and snowy. But apart from its north face this is a non-technical walker's peak. Michael Hunt of Sierra Nevada Guides describes the five main routes of ascent.
