Primus launches award-winning Winter Gas, 3 kb

Primus, the Swedish stove specialist, releases its new Winter Gas this month.  Primus Winter Gas has been designed to increase the performance of LP gas cartridges in low temperatures by using a unique innovation inside the cartridge: Vapour Mesh.  Vapour Mesh is made from absorbent paper and increases the surface area for the evaporation process.  So, LP gas can change phase from liquid to gas much easier and faster making the Winter Gas deliver better than conventional canisters in temperatures down to -22 degrees C.

Basically making liquid fuel stoves redundant, unless you're going to the north pole or routinely siphon jet fuel after crashing behind enemy lines.

One question though - why brown???

Liquid is still a lot cheaper to run, if you run your stove a lot.

In winter I use a standard cartridge in conjunction with a piece of copper wire to pre-heat the cannister. You probably wouldn't get the risk assessment passed by you local gas stove/cannister inspector but it's certainly effective if done correctly.
