This ride is a great day out. It crosses the Yorkshire Dales from south to north, then hitches a ride on the Carlisle - Settle railway to return.41.42 miles, 66.66 km, 1,516m ascent, 5 – 9 hours. Kirkby Stephen is well served with supermarkets, tea rooms and takeaways, as well as hostel, B&B and hotel accommodation.
