In reply to UKC News: Just submitted my first one - looks good, but the mapping is rubbish - the lack of photographic & footpath detail for my neck of the woods (Guernsey) has resulted in a 38 mile route coming out at 31 miles as I can't trace it out properly. Would be better to use a mapfeed from openstreetmap.org .
In reply to Toerag: Sorry to hear that. We're using the excellent OS maps for the UK, but that doesn't include the Channel Islands. I expect that the satellite map coverage will gradually get improved over time, but it isn't something we have any control over.

If you have a GPS, you can record your route onto that, and upload it as a Route Card, which will give the most accurate route trace.
