In reply to UKH News: Interesting. The current facilities could certainly do with being spruced up a bit. I always thought one problem was the lack of shelter there - there is a room there with information boards but somewhere warmer would be useful. Especially when waiting for buses in the cold!

In reply to UKH News: It sounds like another excuse to build an egotistical building in a fragile area. Wouldn't it be better to build a centre in, say, Bethesda with it's endemic unemployment and social problems, where people from around country could learn about the environment they are about to visit: travel up Nant Francon, with explanations of the glaciation, to arrive at Ogwen to enjoy Llyn Idwal without impacting on the severe parking problems and environmental problems that ensue?
In reply to Dave Dear: Hi Dave, maybe the Cwm Idwal Partnership would appreciate hearing different views. Meetings will be held on:

Monday April 4th, 7.00pm, Capel Curig Community Centre

Tuesday April 5th, 7.00pm, Plas y Brenin

Wednesday April 6th, 7.00pm, Neuadd Ogwen, Bethesda

Two drop-in sessions have also been organised:

Tuesday April 5th, 11.00 – 5.00pm, Ty'n y Coed Hotel

Thursday April 7th, 10.00 – 4.00pm, Neuadd Ogwen

...Or I'm sure you could drop them a line if you're not local.
