In reply to UKC News: Wow loads of great stuff to watch this year! The photo compettition section was pretty disapointing though, do entrants have to go through a preliminary before being entered for the final?

In reply to Alan James - UKC:

If you want to watch a selection of the best films there will be a Best Of Kendal screening on Dec 5th in Nottingham. See this post for details: http://www.ukclimbing.com/forums/t.php?t=434249

In reply to Tom_Harding: Anyone know who came 2nd and 3rd? in the photo competition? (Yes, I had one photo in the competition myself and agree that there was a strange mix of photos this year!)

Good to see Ron F getting some recognition at last. I bought the book, and while as a piece of literature it's not earth shattering, as an honest account of the life of one of UK rock climbing's unsung heroes it's first rate.

(Who's Jim Perrin doing next?)

Nice to see Sir Bonington strutting around the show clutching a copy of Ron Fawcett Rock Athlete

Hi Morts and Tom Harding

There were about 300 entries in the photo comp. The shortlist of 10 was selected by visitors to the website voting for each picture. So the mix is totally down to the viewing public. The solution is clear. Get your mates to vote for you

Colin Prior only selected a winner as far as I'm aware, so there are no runners up as such. Personally I really liked the caving shot. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that....

Hope you enjoyed the rest of the Fest, and thanks for contributing.
