Chloé Graftiaux, 4 kbYoung Belgian climber Chloé Graftiaux has been killed in an accident on l'Aiguille Noire de Peuterey, Mont Blanc, France.

Graftiaux, a top level athlete in several disciplines, had won both an Ice Climbing World Cup and the Bouldering World Cup in 2010.

Awful news, tragedies are all around us but the more heartbreaking when they happen to someone so young with a lifetime of adventures ahead of them.

Worked the World Cup when it came to Sheffield, Was lucky enough to have a brief chat with her, mid-rounds. Lovely person!! Sure she will be missed by many!

This is very sad news. My thoughts go out to her family and friends. These tragedies sadly do happen in our sport but they never fail to still shock me. I'm often surprised by how shocked I am.

That's terrible. She was so young. Obviously a real talent and a credit to climbing. RIP
