Mammut’s new Chalten jacket for men is a warm weather jacket offering reliable protection in high alpine terrain. The jacket uses intelligent schoeller® c_change™ membrane that opens and closes like a pinecone according to the ambient temperature.
The structure of the membrane opens at higher temperatures or at times of high activity in response to heat. This releases excess water vapour to the outside. The membrane closes at lower temperatures or when activity levels are low to conserve heat around the body, effectively preventing chills.
