NEWS: Stanage Bus Running Again

[A busy Stanage, 2 kb]The Number 284 Stanage Bus will be running again every Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday from 28 March through to 24 October 2010.

Those are the official stops, I think they're usually meant to be pretty good for letting you jump off in other (sensible) places.

Yep - 5pm is way too early for me. In the summer I'd be more likely to still be climbing at 7 or 8pm, so I'd miss the last bus back by 3 hours or more. But I suppose for earlier risers than me it could work out OK.

You could always bet the bus out then hitch back. Its always been very easy to hitch back to Sheffield from Stanage or Burbage, less so in the other direction.

Think there is an hourly bus from Hathersage if you miss the Stanage one. Nice walk down hill to bus stop or station.

Whatever happened to using public transport everywhere and walking to the crag?
