Al Lee please speak up, James has a question for you.
 James Oswald 15 Oct 2008
In reply to Mick Ryan - UKClimbing.com:
I was just wondering if there are any guest speakers.
 Alastair Lee 15 Oct 2008
In reply to james oswald: Yes - I'll be giving a bit of an intro and there maybe time for some Q and A after the film. Also many of the stars from the film will be there (Pete Robins, Neil Dickson, Ian Parnell, Ron Fawcett) so bring your autograph book!
 GrahamD 15 Oct 2008
In reply to Mick Ryan - UKClimbing.com:

It must be important news BECAUSE IT IS IN CAPITALS. Oh, its in Sheffield as well.
OP Michael Ryan 15 Oct 2008
In reply to GrahamD:

apart from it being a major release...... we are a sponsor Graham.

You want us to look after UKClimbing.com for you don't you, so that you can continue reading and posting?

 James Oswald 15 Oct 2008
In reply to Alastair Lee:
Will the intro from you start at 7 or is it the film starting at 7?
 Alastair Lee 15 Oct 2008
In reply to james oswald: The intro will start at 7pm, we'll be watching a clip from 'The Sharp End' before On Sight too.
 kareylarey 15 Oct 2008
In reply to Alastair Lee: Is the whole lot in HD or just the sharp end?
 Alastair Lee 15 Oct 2008
In reply to kareylarey: The whole thing. The cinema tell me they have a full HD projector so it should look pretty good.
 kareylarey 15 Oct 2008
In reply to Alastair Lee: Sweet! I'll be there!
 GrahamD 16 Oct 2008
In reply to Mick Ryan - UKClimbing.com:

Of course. I understand the commercial aspects - just as I'm sure that you understand that someone will point out that its not really news. Especially for most of us who live somewhere else. Peace

In reply to GrahamD:
well, it reminded me to buy a ticket!
 Owen W-G 16 Oct 2008
In reply to Alastair Lee:

Does this mean the DVDs are in post today for us non-Sheffield folk?
 Alastair Lee 16 Oct 2008
In reply to Owen W-G: Potentially yes. I'm sat here waiting for a delivery van to turn up.... I have to set off down to Sheffield at 3pm so no guarantees.
 Dan Lane 16 Oct 2008
In reply to Alastair Lee: Hi Alistair

I have just got back from the premiere and greatly enjoyed it. I will be getting my dad (i am only 14) to buy the DVD.

Keep up the good work.
Dan

So who was there?

thoughts comments on the film.

I think this looks great, but always nice to hear from the horses mouth
 James Oswald 17 Oct 2008
In reply to Mick Ryan - UKClimbing.com:
However it was basically a lesson in ethics.
 Graham Hoey 17 Oct 2008
In reply to Mick Ryan - UKClimbing.com:
I enjoyed the film and also the irony of all those climbers spoiling their on-sights by watching a film proclaiming the ethics of on-sight climbing. I think a register should have been taken for future claims to be checked against!
