In reply to Mick Ryan - UKClimbing.com: At size 4 they might be a bit tight on me - also will clash with my pink lycra leggins

I'd prefer them in silver.
Tobias at Home 01 Jun 2007
In reply to seagull: i particularly like the flower print on the soles.

still, they'd be perfect for the girl who likes to climb wearing rings.

LOL I can't believe it, look at her hand, she's chalked up! LOLLOLOL! Only I bet it's talc...

In reply to gingerkate:
Reminds me of Batman and Robin 'climbing' up a horizontal building facade with a stick in their capes to make them hang 'down'. Do you think there's someone just out of shot holding the chalkbag?

Shorts AND leggings? Is that acceptable?

whaat a great idea - do you think they'll bring out a range of scented chalks?
 magpie 01 Jun 2007
In reply to Mick Ryan - UKClimbing.com:

They're vile.
 gingerkate 01 Jun 2007
In reply to Tobias at Home:
I don't know, but when I got given some talc as a xmas present my immediate thought was 'can I use this as chalk?' (well it's white, it's powdery....). But no, talc is really really bad chalk. Sad to say.

In reply to Mick Ryan - UKClimbing.com: Ummm. Mick? That's a commercial sale, no charity link whatsoever...

I thought it wasn't allowed to do that sort of thing on here?

Anyway, they are tacky. Gold is SO 1980s.

"To find the right measurement please go
a size and a half UP in your street shoe size"

Surely the hardcore go DOWN a size and a half?
 gingerkate 01 Jun 2007
In reply to Chris F:
I think they're selling them as fashion shoes, so they're telling people to add on a size and a half, otherwise they won't be able to go clubbing in them without dying of pain by 10 p.m.?

Not surprising then taht no one is buying, you'd need little size 2.5 footsies...
 pottsworth 01 Jun 2007
In reply to Mick Ryan - UKClimbing.com:
"buy me loose for multi use"
surely they are not seriously any more than a fasion item.
That said I know a few kids in the school goups who would be queing up to get a pair!!

When they go out into the wicked wild world....and all that peer pressure....you do lose some control.
 CJD 01 Jun 2007
In reply to Mick Ryan - UKClimbing.com:

get them for her - she might be able to flog them as 'vintage stella mccartney' in a few years to help pay for college!

Tobias at Home 01 Jun 2007
In reply to CJD: i still want to know what rubber they'vemade the soles out of. i might take back some of my criticism if it turns out to be stealth.
 CJD 01 Jun 2007
In reply to Tobias at Home:

and if it *is* stealth, I want feetfirst to start offering resoles with pretty patterns
sam the man 01 Jun 2007
In reply to Mick Ryan - UKClimbing.com: Is it just me, or are they the least sexy or feminine shoes in the world? they're brown, dirty looking, ugly shaped, and with stupid laces which seem to have been draped randomly over the shoes-there are far more attractive shoes on the market. Or maybe I'm just bittter they don't do them in my size....

I don't know about the rubber though
 JIMBO 03 Jun 2007
I wonder if they are made from any animal products?
 Rubbishy 04 Jun 2007
