The British team of Jon Bracey (30) and Andrew Houseman (25) made the second ascent of The French Route on the formidable North Buttress (a.k.a. Moonflower Buttress) of Alaska's Mount Hunter (4441m-14,573ft) .

anyone know how hard the climbing was? Alaska in its self looks a scary place, before you add the cold, the altitude and then technical climbing with a big pack.

Great effort. I take it this is the same Jon Bracey I went to uni with (Leeds Uni) where he never let on he had such drive! (very laid-back from what I remember).

Aha, Graham, ginger ex-Geog/Geol at Leeds.

I remember Jon was always one for climbing and jumping off stuff on field trips (normally after a few beers), didn't realise it was training for climbing big icy stuff!
