The Queen guitarist has contributed to the score of the forthcoming IMAX film documenting American rock climber John Harlin III as he ascends the Eiger North Face.

Here's a story from Imperial College (where May studied for his PhD). During a reunion dinner an old lecturer from his department who was sat next to him but didn't know who he was struck up conversation

Lecturer: What are you doing now?
May: I'm in a rock band.
Lecturer: Oh, does it pay well?
