I need a good lightweight cookset.

I want a 1.5 litre pan and lid.

Must be light and strong!

Anyone any ideas?

Thanks!

snow peak have developed some really light stuff made from titanium and other such materials. they're not as maintainable or as reliable as the msr dragonfly but provide a good brew.

erm, the msr alpine cookset is pretty good - i've got that to go with my dragonfly stove. it's got a 1.5 litre pan, a 1 litre pan, pan handle and a lid...all in stainless steel

i've taken it to the pyrennes and it's been fine...

i've also got the alpine kitchen set too, which is great - sits inside the alpine cookset, and has collapsable spatula, ladle, stainer, cutting board, salt/pepper shaker, various air-tight pots for putting stuff in...pretty damn good

msr's are the best for long term rough useage but on the heavy side (mainly due to the pans). if you're flush then get all the snow peak titanium stuff. you can get multifuel of gas versions. very nice bits of kit, have got one at the moment and are light enough for mountain marathons
