Andy is 'doing' a book reading from
Learning to Breathe tonight at Outside in Hathersage. I've just finished the book this morning...the chapters describing the Changabang ascent/epic descent are, in particular, first rate. Here's a taste (describing the storm on day 4):
"I was a tiny, fumbling figure atop a thousand-foot high, dirty, frozen windscreen."
and a bit later on...
"I was trapped in some evil vortex. A mad experiment gone awry. I was a flea in a web, waiting for the deadly spider to deliver the killer blow."
