Another sad accident in the park. And another very experienced and well-liked NZ guide killed whilst guiding. More details in the Christchurch local paper:

Very sad. Can you believe that she climbed the 30 highest NZ peaks in a single winter season? Considering the weather here, that's not just good going, it's unbelieveable.

Almost all in a winter season. Winter "officially" is June 1 to August 31 and They operated on the equinox dates doing some ascents in September so a great effort but not exactly correct.
