I've just published a tour description to Monte Mondeval above Val Fiorentina in the Dolomites. It's a really great tour for beginners and intermediate ski tourers. Hope you enjoy it.

One of my favourite easy ski tours. Great scenery, often holding good snow and the trip up to Forcella Giau is a great shorter trip for a quick hit.

And skiing back down that section is fantastic!

On a similar note I particularly enjoy the easy tour from Castello di Andrez up to Mount Sief or the Col di Lana.

I’ve always felt the Italian Dolomites make a great introduction to ski touring, often using the slopes about Col Gallina as a friendly introduction. No significant glaciers, generally not too remote and often under a beautiful blue sky, what more could you want! The generalisation of all dolomiti rock is loose and all Dolomiti skiing is in couloir’s is just not true, but perhaps we should keep that to ourselves!

There's no way I'm keeping it to myself! Must. Be. Joking.
