Ok I've got some small gouges in my x-country skis so ordered some p-tex candles like I'd seen on you-tube.  I expected that from the ones I've seen on U-Tube they should have a wick.

I haven't removed these from the bag yet but they appear not to have a wick.  Without me having to send them back - they only cost £4 or so, is there anyway I can use them to melt them etc.,

I have a hot air gun, ski iron, blow torch etc,m

Oh, I have glue gun, but the diameter of the sticks is a few mm too smallI.

Any polite suggestions gratefully received thanks.

You should be able to  just light one with a lighter or matches - and drip the molten ptex in to the gauges before leaving it a while then scraping smooth.

I've never seen a P-tex candle with a wick. Try lighting one & you'll find it burns & 'drips' P-tex - just make sure it drips into the gouges
