Now that La Tapia has closed down im wondering where ill stay.
I loved La Tapia and had lots of happy stays there and made a lot of friends. Im not sure ill find a good replacement, but im wondering of what the current list of gites with cooking and kitchen facilities is. Currently , to me it looks like this:
Chamoniard volant - bit of a dump, quite large rooms, not very safe ski storage but right next to the bus stop and not far from Chamonix town.
Belvedere - in argentiere so goo dfor GM, no cooking or kitchen available. Generaly pretty Ok though not stayed much.
Vagabond - not stayed, comments welcomed.
Alpenrose - know someone who is wintering there this year but have never stayed - kitchen available and looks clean and tidy. Comments ?
Any others worth considering ?
