Wow, the UTMB is much longer than I thought according to that!

Excellent article, but shouldn't Beth Pascall be on the list given her achievements in the Spine Race & Dragon's Back?

To my shame, I didn't realise that Pauline Stuart's record was quite so impressive, until last week when I spent an evening with Steve Chilton (the guy on the right in the picture of Pauline). I suppose it is easy to be overshadowed in a male dominated sport, when you are married to one of the all time greats, one of the trinity (Joss, Billy, Kenny).

I'm not much of a fell racer these day, although I have run in races with a few of these ladies and whilst not a race, Helene helped me through a tough section of the Hebden about six years ago, when I was very much a novice at longer fell events. One of the nice things about fell running, you could be in a race with a legend and unless you know, you wouldnt know until they disappear off in to the distance.

You're probably right, at least maybe in the last section which mentions Carol Morgan as being on the radar.

And then there's runners like N Wales's Menna Angharad, who appeared to arrive on the scene from nowhere, set some astounding times and disappeared again.

Not really for inclusion due to not being around for long, but I wonder what might have been if she came to the sport younger and stayed longer.

I think Beth's outstanding result is actually her Lakeland 100 women's record in 2016.

Also surely Katy boden s (now katy something else) BG should be mentioned on there . Maybe she's happy to stay under the radar.
