Did anyone else spot that Finlay Wild smashed his own Tranter Round record on Friday ? Was previously 10:15 and he did 9:00:05 !! Aaargghh, 5 seconds !!!!

In the previous 2 or 3 weeks he'd also set FKTs on the 2 constituent parts, ie Mamores Round and Lochaber Traverse.

So, he must now be planning for a go at the Ramsay in the next few weeks you'd imagine ? Can see him taking a large chunk off Es's time (16:12:32) if he gets decent conditions given the shape he's in.

Must be amazing to be able to move through the hills with such speed

I remember reading in the comments on his Strava that he said he wouldn’t be going for the Ramsay but he could just be keeping a lid on it.

He’s on form so seems daft not to have a go.

In reply to steelbru: That’s crazy. Just different world of speed to normal runners! Inspirational!

How much longer is the Ramsay compared to the Tranter?

I'm guessing 2000m and 15k?

22miles and 9000ft... so 35k/3000m

He mentioned in his own podcast (Go Mountain Goats - highly recommend!) that he felt quite fit when he did Tranter's.

What a lad and so frank with his achievements.
