As you know Bob...

On average there are 200 wet days/year; 145 dry days/year; 20 snowy days/year in the Lakes

The track's showing her at Wasdale Head now. She has 6:30 to make it back to Keswick.

Is it still on?

Hmmmm... Looking at the schedule detailed on Bob's page, I'm guessing that she won't make it back within the 24 hours... The weather must have been really rough.

Honister now, at 5pm, so won't make the 24 hours, but great effort considering the weather
In reply to pog100: Must be tough conditions to be 3 hours behind ETA. Good work so far though!

Does that mean that the 24hr thing is off?

Been horrendous weather in Cumbria today, a lot of local roads are closed due to flooding. A lot brighter now, but it must have been a long night and a gruelling day.
In reply to Antigua: unless she can get to Moot hall from Dale head in two minutes, yes!
In reply to Michael Ryan - UKC and UKH: She's nearly there. well done that woman!

Great stuff. Good on her for keeping at it despite the awful weather.

Well done Caire, I've supported on a couple of rounds and am in awe of anybody who does it. To have such bad conditions and not use those as an excuse to stop when you are feeling knackered and in pain shows great mental strenght.

The Blog is a good read also.

Good work! I can't even imagine doing something like this in good weather, let alone in those conditions.

What a fantastic blog! Almost as inspirational as "Feet in the Clouds", and a very real account.
