Hey all. Quick question, which online tool is the best for planning runs?

I use gb mapometer for planning, Strava for recording. That may just be the result of my ineptitude...

i use ridewithgps as i have a paid account for planning bike stuff, as you can guess its predominately bike focused but it does a pretty good job with running

All my running is on trails and mostly in the French Alps so I use tracedetrail.fr. It allows you to draw the route over an IGN map and then generates profile and distance. You can print out a road book with the map to take with you.

There might be an equivalent in the UK (although I think you can use it for UK routes) but I find stuff like Strava route planner too difficult when away from major roads and trails as it likes to snap to well known paths.

I vary between Mapometer and bikehike - the advantage on bikehike is it uses OS mapping and the type used by mapometer and map my run etc - seeing both on screen at same time can be better for wilder, off road areas.
